Our colleagues at the Registry of Stroke Care Quality (RES-Q),  have asked us to post the following update for August 2020.

The latest round of RES-Q reports were completed on Friday 21 August and include reports for both the most recent quarter, as well as for the first half of 2020.

The nominations for the Q2 ESO Angels Awards are also currently being reviewed, and the list of winners will be finalized and released on Sept.2nd. Even with the ongoing pandemic, participation during the second quarter of this year was very strong, so we’re expecting excellent results for the reports and awards! For international RES-Q members which are participating in the WSO Angels Awards, those results will also be available at the same time.

Finally, we’d also like to thank everyone for the positive reception to the addition of the COVID-19 question to RES-Q. We’re beginning to process data from this question, and are working to include it in future reports. For anyone that is not aware, this question is also available for previously entered patients, so this data can be captured for any hospitals which wish to enter data retrospectively.

As always, you can read more about the RES-Q initiative on the RES-Q website. Born out of the ESO-EAST project, RES-Q has grown into a global registry and we encourage all stroke centres, stroke units and hospitals to participate.
