All interested institutions are invited to apply by 31 January 2024.
ESO’s 2023 Focused Workshop took place in Utrecht, Netherlands
Intracranial aneurysms | 22-24 October 2023
Patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysms and aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage need multidisciplinary management. The workshop aimed to make young stroke clinicians and researchers familiar with the management of patients with such conditions, other than occluding the aneurysm.
The workshop facilitated stroke physicians to play a role in the management of these patients and by that hopefully enabled more centers to have a multidisciplinary treatment team for these patients.
The ESO Focused Workshop 2023 was organised by a Local Organising Committee chaired by Gabriel J.E. Rinkel, with the support of the Netherlands Heart Foundation and the European Stroke Organisation (ESO).

The ESO’s first ever Focused Workshop took place in Bergen, Norway
Stroke in the Young | 25-26 April 2022
Stroke in the young is different, complex and challenging. There is an increased prevalence of traditional risk factors already at a young age, but also special risk factors and factors that are either unique or more prevalent in women. In many young stroke patients, aetiology remains unclear.
This workshop gave a comprehensive overview on the topic, including an update on newly gathered knowledge obtained from network-based international research.
The ESO Focused Workshop 2022 was organised by the Bergen Stroke Research Group (BSRG) in cooperation with the Norwegian Stroke Organisation (NSO) and with the support of the European Stroke Organisation (ESO).
