March is data collection month at RES-Q
2018 was an incredibly successful year for the RES-Q project, with new countries joining the initiative, new results from participating countries, and new functionality added to the registry. Since launching in 2016, RES-Q has provided more than 6000 reports directly to hospitals and national stroke societies, allowing for timely, in-depth monitoring of stroke care quality.
As of the beginning of February 2019, there are nearly 650 participating hospitals in 52 countries which have contributed data for over 70,000 patients. You can follow RES-Q’s progress using the live dashboard at https://stroke.qualityregistry.org/ Similar dashboards are also available to RES-Q participants to monitor their hospital and national progress. RES-Q is a core component of the ESO-EAST programme, an official registry for the ESO Angels Awards, and the official data collection tool for QASC Europe.
For stroke centers that are already participating in RES-Q, or for centers that would like to start participating, the next official round of data collection will take place in March 2019. All data entry should be finalized by April 15th, 2019 to allow time to calculate ESO Angels Awards prior to ESOC 2019. Participants can use either version of the form (RES-Qv1.2 or RES-Qv2.0), however only ONE form needs to be completed for each patient.
