The Stroke Action Plan for Europe and SAFE’s recent ‘Life saved is a life worth living’ report highlights the drastic need for more research in the field of life after stroke.
The European Life After Stroke Forum was set up to address this problem. It aims to bring together research, best practice and those with lived experience to encourage more research and sharing of best practice across Europe. This will ultimately lead to better guidelines being written and life after stroke having an equal presence in national stroke plans.
