I attended this course in 2016, at a time when I was considering applying for a PhD fellowship. I came away with a realistic perspective on the challenges ahead of me, and new knowledge and practical skills to tackle these head on. It was also an opportunity to establish a support network that is crucial to success. I thoroughly recommend this workshop to all aspiring stroke researchers looking to develop their bright idea into a novel, clinically relevant and well-designed proposal that is attractive to major funding bodies.
