I came across the ESO Vascular Neurology Master’s program while searching online for ways to deepen my knowledge in the field of vascular neurology. As soon as I read about its structure and content, I was immediately drawn to it — a comprehensive, up-to-date, and truly international approach to stroke education. I was also glad to see that the program offers scholarship opportunities, which I believe are key to making this kind of advanced training accessible to a wider range of professionals across Europe and beyond. Thanks to that support, I was able to join the program and fully benefit from this exceptional learning experience.
From the start, the curriculum struck a perfect balance between up-to-date scientific knowledge and real-world clinical application. The sessions with leading world stroke specialists were not only informative but also highly inspiring. What I appreciated most was the multidisciplinary approach and the constant encouragement to ask questions and participate actively.
The on-site weeks were especially well-organised and turned out to be one of the highlights of the program. They offered a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow participants in person, share experiences, and build genuine friendships with people who share the same professional interests. The visits to stroke units in different cities were particularly valuable, as they allowed us to observe how stroke care is organised in various healthcare systems, broadening our understanding of different clinical approaches. These interactions often led to interesting discussions, potential international collaborations, and even opened doors to future career opportunities.
The online structure was very well organised and flexible enough to combine with my daily clinical work. The practical case discussions, especially those based on complex scenarios, helped me improve my critical thinking and refine my approach to acute stroke care.
But beyond the academic side, this master’s gave me the chance to connect with colleagues from all over the world who share the same passion for vascular neurology. These connections have turned into real professional networks, and I’m sure they’ll be valuable throughout my career.
To sum it up, I’m truly grateful for having joined this program. It has broadened both my knowledge and perspective, and it’s made me feel more confident as a neurologist dealing with stroke patients every day.
