As investigator-led randomised trials become more complex and resource-intensive, the ESO Trials Network Committee‘s mission is to streamline processes and reduce inefficiencies. By fostering multinational cooperation, it helps ensure that promising stroke treatments are rigorously tested and translated into better outcomes for patients across Europe.

A Network of Networks
The European Stroke Organisation Trials Alliance (ESOTA) is an international European ‘network of networks’ to support stroke randomised trials in Europe. ESOTA supports stroke research collaboration, education, communication and advocacy in Europe.
Vision
To provide rapid access to hundreds of hospitals to efficiently conduct stroke trials in Europe.
Mission
The overall purpose of ESOTA is to promote research funding, collaboration, education, communication and advocacy in stroke research across Europe, thus supporting the conduct of randomised clinical trials leading to improved therapies for patients to prevent and treat acute stroke and the longer term consequences of stroke.
