TF4UKR will hold a dedicated online meeting focusing on the critical and often under-recognised role of rehabilitation in comprehensive stroke care.
Despite robust evidence supporting early and structured rehabilitation after stroke, significant unmet needs persist across Europe, with considerable variability in access, timing and quality of services. This meeting aims to highlight these gaps and to promote evidence-informed, practical approaches to improving post-stroke recovery.
Programme:
- Opening remarks: Prof. Francesca Romana Pezzella (Chair, SAP-E & TF4UKR) and Prof. Yuriy Flomin (Co-Chair, TF4UKR)
- Unmet needs in post-stroke rehabilitation in Europe: Prof. Ales Tomek (Co-Chair, SAP-E)
- When and how to treat spasticity in the early post-stroke period: practical considerations from a neurophysiologist: Dr. Marilena Mangiardi, San Camillo Forlanini Hospital, Rome, Italy
- Interactive Q&A session
- Future TF4UKR activities and closing remarks: Prof. Francesca Romana Pezzella, Prof. Yuriy Flomin, Prof. Aleš Tomek
This meeting is designed for neurologists, rehabilitation specialists, and all healthcare professionals involved in stroke care who want to move beyond theory and into practical, implementable change.
