SUMMARY:WHO Capacity-Building Webinar Series: Strengthening national readin
 ess for acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and stroke care
DESCRIPTION:The World Health Organization (WHO)\, in collaboration with the
  World Stroke Organization (WSO) and the World Heart Federation (WHF)\,
  is convening a three-part capacity-building webinar series to strengthe
 n national readiness for the care of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and 
 stroke.\n\nCardiovascular diseases (CVDs)\, particularly acute coronary s
 yndrome (ACS) and stroke\, remain leading causes of premature death and di
 sability globally\, accounting for approximately 19.8 million deaths annua
 lly. Despite the availability of effective\, evidence-based interventions\
 , many countries face systemic challenges in delivering timely\, high-qual
 ity care for ACS and stroke. In 2024\, the World Health Organization (WHO)
  released the Framework for the Care of Acute Coronary Syndrome and Strok
 e to guide countries\, particularly LMICs in strengthening their health s
 ystems to improve prevention\, timely detection\, emergency response\, acu
 te treatment\, rehabilitation\, and long-term management of ACS and stroke
 .\n\nThis series is designed to build technical and operational capacity a
 mong health sector leaders to effectively implement the WHO Framework for 
 the Care of Acute Coronary Syndrome and Stroke within their countries’ h
 ealth systems.\nDates\n2\, 8\, and 15 October 2025\n\n13:00–15:00 CET\n\
 nVirtual (Zoom)\nObjectives\nThe series aims to:\n\n 	Equip programme mana
 gers and health district leaders with knowledge and tools to design and 
 implement integrated care pathways for ACS and stroke.\n 	Strengthen cap
 acity to lead community engagement and public awareness campaigns for ea
 rly recognition and timely care-seeking.\n 	Enhance competencies in monit
 oring\, evaluation\, and quality improvement for ACS and stroke programme
 s.\n\n Target audience\n\n 	National NCD programme managers\n 	Regional a
 nd district health officers\n 	Health system strengthening focal points\n 
 	Hospital administrators &amp\; service delivery managers\n 	Emergency med
 ical services coordinators\n 	Public health authorities and policy makers\
 n 	Development partners supporting CVD/NCD initiatives\n\nStructure &amp\;
  themes\nThe series will comprise three interactive webinars (each 2 hours
  long) with expert presentations\, country case studies\, and facilitated
