DESCRIPTION:Dear colleague\,\n\nSince its introduction in the ’40-ies of 
 the last century\, ultrasound has earned its place as  an important metho
 d to study the function of the human body in both health and disease. Over
  time\, ultrasound has evolved significantly\, starting  with Doppler but
  later with Duplex\, constantly  improving spatial and temporal resolutio
 n. Initially bulky Doppler systems resembling refrigerators have become mo
 re compact with\, as most recent achievement\, a handheld probe incorporat
 ing all electronic circuitry to be plugged into a laptop and generate an i
 mmediate inside view of our body. Its flexibility and bedside availability
  has led to the emergence of point of care ultrasound (or POCUS) as a valu
 able addition in emergency medicine.\n\nNeurosonology focuses on sonograph
 y of the brain\, cerebral circulation\, peripheral nerves and muscles. It 
 is unique because it studies in one modality both the anatomical and physi
 ological aspects of neuropathology.\n\nAmid the evolving field of stroke m
 edicine and neurocritical care\, neurosonology is progressively taking on 
 a central role in understanding the complexities of cerebrovascular diseas
 e and offering real-time insights that directly influence patient outcomes
 . With ongoing technological advancements and expanding clinical applicati
 ons\, neuromuscular sonography is a hot topic!\n\nWith the support of the 
 Dutch Society for Clinical Neurophysiology\, we are proud to have found so
  many excellent speakers to present you the latest developments in the fie
 ld of neurosonology! We have a mix of state-of-the-art lectures and practi
