A theoretical course as the basis for neurointerventional ischemic stroke training. The course cycle comprises two 5-day courses, including lectures and workshops given by experts in the field of neurointervention and neuroradiology. The first week of the course in early November is completely online, the second part takes place at the end of February and is face to face in Prague. Each part of the course ends with a test.
Candidates who successfully complete both courses of a full EXMINT cycle are eligible to sit the examination for the European Diploma in Ischemic Stroke Intervention (EDSI) as a certification of theoretical knowledge in acute ischemic stroke.
About one-third of the participants in the last 6. run were neurologists or neurological specialties and performed best in the final tests compared to other specialties. The course is endorsed by ESO and CIRSE and has CME credits.
