SUMMARY:Angels Initiative Virtual Train the Trainer Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the workshop\, is the following:\n- To agree on
the strategy and the goals for the initiative in the represented hospitals
and countries.\n- Based on our experience in the hospitals we have identi
fied specific topics that could be optimized. With this in mind we develop
ed an interactive training package\, as an example of how this could poten
tially be implemented in the country and hospitals. The workshops are hand
s-on and discussion based sessions\, where we aim to promote practical sol
utions on how to optimize and standardize the stroke pathway (Hyperacute w
orkshop)\, simplify and streamline the medical decision making process (De
cision making workshop)\, simplify through a stepwise approach the CT imag
ing interpretation (CT imaging workshop). Our event also covers the import
ance of quality monitoring and data collection (Quality monitoring session
)\, how to apply the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS workshop)\, how to include in
-hospital dummy patient simulations on daily hospital training and the imp
ortance of the pre-hospital organization and engaging with the pre-hospita
l staff in order to achieve optimal DTT times (Pre-hospital session).\n\nT
he Angels Initiative is currently active in 21 European countries\, and ha
s dedicated Angel consultants working with the hospitals\, in 12 of these
countries. For the remaining 9 countries we organize these Train the Train

Neurointervention\, offering a 1:1 ratio of simulator to trainee. It cove
rs the main areas of neurointervention\, namely\, stroke\, aneurysm and AV
M/AVF endovascular treatment.\nLearning Objectives\n\n To know the etiolo
gy\, pathophysiology\, imaging diagnosis and prognostic of the most\nfrequ
ent cerebrovascular diseases\n To know the present state of the art treat
ment indications for cerebrovascular diseases\n To structure the decision
-making process in neurovascular diseases\n To acknowledge the diverse ma
terials and devices available for endovascular treatment of\ncerebrovascul
ar disease\n To acquire technical skills through simulation for the endov
ascular treatment of acute\nstroke\, carotid stenosis\, intracranial steno
 sis\, vascular malformations\, dural AV fistula\, and\ncerebral aneurysms\
n To recognise complications of endovascular treatment and practice the r
 esolution of\ncomplications with the simulator\n\nTarget Audience\nResiden
ts in their last 2 years of residency in neuroradiology\, neurosurgery or
neurology\, or specialists of neuroradiology\, neurosurgery and neurology
can be accepted. Provided they have experience with at least diagnostic ce
rebral angiography\, and preferably\, therapeutic angiography. Other speci

SUMMARY:Hot topics in acute stroke: from bench to bedside and back again
DESCRIPTION:The approach to reperfusion treatments in acute ischemic stroke
continues to evolve and neuroimaging is becoming more and more important
in the diagnostic work-up and clinical decisions. "Imaging is brain" is re
placing "Time is brain" and is bringing a renewed interest in the state of
the ischemic tissue and therefore in preclinical research. Preclinical re
search could help understanding the neuronal and vascular underpinnings of
futile recanalization\, identify potential treatment targets and lead to
clinical translation. See the attached flyer for invited speakers\, topics
\, and final programme.\n\nRegistration is free of charge. The participati
on in the webinar delivers 4\,5 ECM.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nTRANSLATIONA

SUMMARY:SAP-E Implementing together Stroke Care in Europe
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe first SAP-E webinar\, organised by th
e Steering Committee of the Stroke Action Plan for Europe 2018 - 2030 will
provide a comprehensive overview of the project and its implementation pr
ogress.\n\nThe Stroke Action Plan for Europe (SAP-E) is a pan-European pro
ject\, and sets targets for the implementation of evidence-based preventiv
e actions and stroke services until 2030. It was outlined by the European
Stroke Organisation (ESO) in cooperation with the Stroke Alliance for Euro
pe (SAFE) to reduce the burden of stroke through improvement of care. SAP-
E covers the entire chain of stroke care and was designed by a large group
of stroke experts from all regions of Europe.\n\nThe event will be held o
 nline on Tuesday\, 19 October from 14:00 – 15:00 CEST.\n\nSix internatio
nal speakers\, some of them in their function as members of the SAP-E Stee
ring Committee\, will give you an introduction to the largest stroke proje
ct ever undertaken in Europe. For full programme details\, please click he
re.\n\nFor participation\, please register until 17 October 2021 by clicki

SUMMARY:8th International Symposium on Collaterals to the Brain
DESCRIPTION:Event Focus\n1. To engage the expansive and diverse pool of str
oke investigators around the world\, ensuring appropriate representation a
nd adequate incorporation of variables relevant to the precision medicine
of cerebral hemodynamics.\n2. To employ a standard session structure and c
oherent content that focuses on current regional activities related to cer
ebral hemodynamics and expected milestone achievements.\n3. To maximize th
e interactive yield of the meeting in scientific posters\, new mentoring o
r networking connections and virtual exhibits for participants around the
world.\nTargeted Participants\nWe are aiming for all participants (fellows
 \, nurses\, physicians\, researchers) interested in stroke neurology\, inc
 luding\, vascular neurology\, collaterals\, etc. With the recent pandemic\
, we recognized the importance to allow attendees to participate and is op
en to all who are interested.\nMore information can be found on the offici
