SUMMARY:Angels Initiative Train the Trainer Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the workshop\, is:\n- To agree on the strategy a
 nd the goals for the initiative in the represented hospitals and countries
 . \n- Based on experience in the hospitals\, specific topics have identifi
 ed that could be optimized. With this in mind\, an interactive training pa
 ckage has been developed\, as an example of how this could potentially be 
 implemented in the country and hospitals. The workshops are hands-on and d
 iscussion based sessions with the aim to promote practical solutions on ho
 w to optimize and standardize the stroke pathway (Hyperacute workshop)\, s
 implify and streamline the medical decision making process (Decision makin
 g workshop)\, simplify through a stepwise approach the CT imaging interpre
 tation (CT imaging workshop). The event also covers the importance of qual
 ity monitoring and data collection (Quality monitoring session)\, how to a
 pply the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS workshop)\, how to include in-hospital du
 mmy patient simulations on daily hospital training and the importance of t
 he pre-hospital organization and engaging with the pre-hospital staff in o
 rder to achieve optimal DTT times (Pre-hospital session).\n\nTarget group:
 \nThe Angels Initiative is currently active in 21 European countries\, and
  has dedicated Angel consultants working with the hospitals\, in 12 of the
 se countries. For the remaining 9 countries\, these Train the Trainer work
 shops are organized\, and each country is asked to nominate 3 representati
 ves to attend the workshops. Targeted participants are mainly strokeologis
 ts and neurologists and to a lesser extent also stroke nurses.\n\nWebsite:
