The course is a meeting of respect ed scientists that work with stroke presenting and discussing all major as pects of stroke risk factors\, as well as new insights in epidemiology\, p revention\, diagnosis\, treatment and rehabilitation of stroke. As brain d iseases are increasing in number and becoming a major medical\, public hea lth and financial problem\, the learning objectives of this course include other brain disease\, such as extrapyramidal disorders and dementia. Prob ably the major feature of the course is enabling exchange of experience am ong experts and comparison of stroke data from various countries.
