DESCRIPTION:The primary objective of this traditional course organized by t
 he International Institute for Brain Health and the Croatian Stroke Societ
 y\nis to encourage cooperation and to promote exchange of knowledge betwee
 n participants from different countries. The course is a meeting of respec
 ted scientists that work with stroke presenting and discussing all major a
 spects of stroke risk factors\, as well as new insights in epidemiology\, 
 prevention\, diagnosis\, treatment and rehabilitation of stroke.\nAs brain
  diseases are increasing in number and becoming a major medical\, public h
 ealth and financial problem\, the learning objectives of this course inclu
 de other brain disease\, such as extrapyramidal disorders and dementia. Pr
 obably the major feature of the course is enabling exchange of experience 
 among experts and comparison of stroke data from various countries. Also\,
  the course allows knowledge transfer between respected scientists from we
 stern countries and colleagues from central and east European countries wo
