Workshop Announcement: How to set up a Telestroke Network

The ESO Telestroke Committee is pleased to announce the upcoming workshop, How to Set up a Telestroke Network. This workshop will be offered in Munich, DE on 5-6 July 2018 in cooperation with the local organisers, Telestroke Network South East Bavaria (TEMPiS).

Speakers

Franceso Corea, MD; PhD; FESO
is collaborating with the ESO Telestroke Committee since 2015. Previously appointed as stroke consultant in Perugia and Milan-HSR University Hospitals. Settled a Telestroke network in Umbria, central Italy. He launched a national task force in Teleneurology in 2017. Was recently committed by the national medical union to HTA/ICT update procedures.

Dr. med. Gordian Hubert Network coordinator of the TEMPiS telemedical stroke network in Southeast Bavaria and senior neurologist in the Department of Neurology and Neurological Intensive Care, Munich, Municipal Hospital. Member of the Telestroke Committee of the European Stroke Organisation since 2012, Chair since 2016.

Dr. med. Frank Kraus
Coordinator of the TEMPiS Flying Interventionalist Project within the telemedical stroke network in Southeast Bavaria (TEMPiS) and senior neurologist in the Department of Neurology and Neurological Intensive Care, Munich.

Dr. med. Peter Müller-Barna
Vascular neurologist and teleconsultant in the TEMPiS telemedical stroke network in Southeast Bavaria since 2009. Quality manager of the TEMPiS network and principle investigator of “Televertigo”.

Gustavo Santo, MD
Head of the Vascular Risk Factor Outpatient Clinic and former head of the Stroke Unit – Centro Hospitalar e Universitário de Coimbra, Portugal. Settled and is responsible for the telestroke network in the centre region of Portugal. Member of the scientific panel of neurocritical care of the European Academy of Neurology. Member of the Telestroke Committee of the European Stroke Organization

Prof. Bojana Zvan, MD, PhD, Senior advisor, Primarius, FESO
Founder of the national TeleStroke (TeleKap) network in Slovenia. Professor of Neurology at the Medical Faculty Ljubljana, Slovenia. Senior advisor to the Ministry of Health of Slovenia.
President of the Stroke Society of the Slovenian Medical Association. Vice president of the Headache Society of the Slovenian Medical Association. Member of the Telestroke Committee of the European Stroke Organization. Member of ESO EAST, fellow of ESO.
