Prof. Valeria Caso
Valeria Caso is a stroke neurologist at the University of Perugia Stroke Unit. She earned her PhD from the University of Perugia in stroke medicine in 2003 and is currently associate professor in Neurology.
She has authored and co-authored more than 200 published papers and book-chapters.
She is a past member of the JNNP Editorial Board. She has served as peer reviewer to over 30 international journals including JNNP, CVD, Stroke, Neurology and Lancet Neurology for more than a total of 200 papers. She has been involved in 20 multicenter trials serving in various positions including steering committees. She supervised several masters, residents and MD-theses. She is currently actively involved in international research projects on cervical artery dissections, heart and brain, intracerebral haemorrhage, and acute stroke treatment. She has made primary interest the treatment and prevention of stroke in women and she is about to present a multicenter European project on primary prevention in women with the aim of uncovering the underlying thought to be associated with fostering stroke in women of all ages.

Dr. Bart van der Worp
Bart van der Worp is a neurologist with a special interest in cerebrovascular diseases at the University Medical Center in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He has been (co-)Chief Investigator of the randomised clinical trials HAMLET, PAIS, COOLIST, and VAST and is (co-)Chief Investigator of PRECIOUS (www.precious-trial.eu), APACHE-AF (www.apache-af.nl), and MR ASAP (www.mrasap.nl).
Dr. Else Charlotte Sandset
Else Charlotte Sandset graduated as a medical doctor from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2006, achieved her PhD from the University of Oslo in Norway in 2012, and completed a year as visiting fellow at the George Institute for Global Health in Sydney, Australia in 2016.
