First-ever course of “In-situ Simulation” reproducing acute stroke pathways. This course will held in the angio-suite of the Niguarda Hospital. The participants will be faced with different simulated case scenarios where they will be asked to select patients for different acute stroke treatments. This decision processes will be shared between neurologists and neuroradiologists in order to reproduce an optimal acute stroke pathway from ER to angio-suite. Furthermore, neurologists and neuroradiologists have the opportunity to improve their technical skills in endovascular procedures through the FLOWMODDA model1 experiencing task training on thrombectomy using a 3-D flow model. After the case-scenario, in the debriefing session strengths and pitfalls of the decision processes will be discussed among the participants, instructors and facilitators on basis of the current ESO-recommendations.
